IIPS Standards Committee
NCIIPS committee consists of 4 subcommittees including
1) General Security
2) Network
3) Unix Application
4) Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity
In each of the subcommittees, there would be somewhat around six appointed IT IIPS members and these members should be in such a way that more than 2 members should be there from the same school. Each member is required to serve a tenure period of 3 years while 2 can reshuffle each year. When the member is in the second year of the tenure, they can serve as chair of the subcommittee. It is required to have only one chair from a single college at a time not more than that. IIPS President will appoint the chair to the one who has served as the chair of one of the four subcommittees. If none agrees to serve the chair then the chair can be directly appointed by none other than IIPS Executive Committee.
Committee Duties
- Ongoing recommendations for campus-wide standards
- Data Processing audit of the NC Community College
- To maintain the security environment
