About Phase
The third phase of the World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Classic represents the penultimate stage of this exciting expansion, which was an important milestone in the history of Azeroth. During this phase, players faced Ragnaros and his minions, who were trying to capture and destroy Nordrassil.
The world continued to change under the influence of the cataclysm, and heroes joined forces to prepare for the final battle with the fire elementals. This phase brought new raids, events, and changes to the game world, and reminded players of the importance of accumulating WoW Cata gold to be ready for new challenges. Let's take a look at how the third phase affected the game and what it brought to the player community in the re-release.
Phase 3 release
The third phase of the expansion officially launched on 29 October, but key content, including the raid, won't be available until 7 November. This approach allows players to prepare for upcoming challenges, learn new updates, and adapt to changes in the game world before venturing into the Firelands where await dangerous encounters.
Main Changes
A new boss in the Baradin Hold raid
Baradin Hold has been updated with a new boss — the ominous demonic creature named Occu'thar. This giant beast with two heads, massive clawed arms, and numerous eyes has broken free from its imprisonment. Defeating Occu'thar rewards players with generous loot, including new PvP gear sets, Tier 12 Legs or Hands, and various accessories. Like the first boss of this raid, he will be relatively easy, but you'll need to learn his mechanics to defeat him quickly. The encounter will be available starting November 7.
Elemental Rune Dungeons
This is a new dungeon mode, also known as the Heroic+ mode. It is available for all dungeons released after the launch of Cataclysm Classic. To play in this new mode, you must find an eligible dungeon, interact with the Mysterious Elemental Device, and check the box for "Activate Protocol Inferno." After this, all enemies in the dungeon will receive the Fury of the Firelord buff, increasing their damage by 25% and health by 100%. This is a response from the developers to players who have complained about dungeons being too easy.
Elemental Rune additional rewards
In addition to regular loot, bosses in this system also drop 2 Fissure Stone Fragments ( 3 fragments from the final boss). These materials are used to purchase items from the vendor Kyanite Stonetender, which can be found in major faction locations like Orgrimmar and Stormwind. Prices range from 12 to 80, and you can buy tier tokens, armor, trinkets, and other gear.
Ragnaros and Firelands
The key activity of this phase is the new Firelands raid, which is located in southern Mount Hyjal. The raid features seven unique bosses, each offering different mechanics and challenges. Like other raids, Firelands is available in two difficulty modes that determine the level of loot: on normal difficulty, players can loot up to level 384, and on heroic difficulty up to level 397. Among the rewards of particular note are the Tear 12 tokens for shoulders and helmet, as well as rare mounts: Flametalon of Alysrazor, Smoldering Egg of Millagazor, and Corrupted Egg of Millagazor.
Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa's Rest
This legendary item is intended for classes that wield magical power: Shaman, Mage, Warlock, Druid, and Evoker, and it has the ability to duplicate your spells and transform you into a dragon. To obtain the staff, players must complete an engaging quest chain, which requires clearing the new raid. Heroes will encounter Kalecgos, a member of the Blue Dragonflight, and help preserve the legacy of Tarecgosa, who sacrificed herself to protect Azeroth. The final reward becomes not only a powerful tool in battle but also a symbol of the heroism and loyalty of the dragonkind. The process of obtaining it is quite complex and requires consistent gameplay over several weeks, making Cataclysm boosting a more optimal solution.
Avengers of Hyjal Reputation
A new reputation system that rewards you for killing mobs and fire elementals in the raid has been added. The amount of reputation you receive depends on the difficulty and the boss: Normal difficulty gives 250 for the first 4 bosses and 400 for the rest, and Heroic difficulty gives 500 for the first 4 and 800 for the rest. Receiving reputation gives you access to the new vendor Naresir Stormfury and his new item categories. Prices range from 250 to 500 Cataclysm Classic gold.
The Regrowth and Molten Front quest areas
In these quest areas, you will finally gather all the troops and go to counterattack the forces of Ragnaros. To begin you must take the quest Guardians of Hyjal: Firelands Invasion and head to the Regrowth zone which is located in the western part of Mount Hyjal, previously known as the Flamewake. Here players earn Mark of the World Tree currency, which is used to unlock NPCs, new quests, and the next arena. At some point, you will unlock Molten Front as well as three vendors: Ayla Shadowstorm, Varlan Highbough, and Damek Bloombeard. Each of them sells interesting items such as rings, trinkets, patterns, and pieces of equipment for WoW gold Cataclysm.
Summary
Although the next expansion is still far off, the new phase of Cataclysm Classic has already delighted players with numerous significant changes. The new raid, the return of a unique item, enhanced dungeons, and exciting quests offer players content that will remain relevant until the final phase involving Deathwing. The update also resumed the demand for the main currency, so familiarize yourself with the current farming methods or buy Cataclysm gold on marketplaces to not spend a lot of time and provide yourself with everything you need for the new content.
